Prophecy I/II-NEW

This two semester course will be an in depth study of the subject of biblical prophecy from a premillenial and dispensational viewpoint. The student will examine the subject of Prophecy in both the Old and New Testaments. A workbook and textbook will provide the study matrerials, along with the Word of God, the bible. Weekly homework and two examinations will be included in this 15 week [per semester] course of study. This course forms part of the Biblical History Certificate, but can also be taken as an elective.
Leadership I/II-NEW!

This two semester class begins with a profile of the definition and the major characteristics of a Leader. We will supply biblical illustrations of these characteristics and how they relate to today's Leaders. We will also examine case studies of Leadership situations in the local church and work in class to provide solutions to each. Finally, we will begin to develop a toolbox of resources which will aid in the development of our own Leadership skills. Twelve week class.
Semester two will provide an indepth look at the biblical principles of Leadership, also how Leadership can impact church growth. We will examine more case studies on real life Leadership situations in the local church and then add to our toolboxes additional tools for the develoment of our own Leadershihip abilities and to develop Leaders in our churches.
Homiletics/Preaching I/II

This two semester course examines the calling and vocation of a pastor with special emphasis upon sermon development and delivery. The course outlines the four types of sermons, the references available to a pastor, the proper use of illustrations in a sermon and the development of the parts of a sermon. Homiletics is a two semester Renaissance Leadership Institute Course ad is not offered for college credit.
Book of Genesis

This one semester course provides an in depth examination of the book of Genesis in the Old Testament. This course is available this semester (Fall) in Canton only.
Old Testament Survey I/II/III

This course focuses upon the preparation of believers for service in ministries in the local church such as teacher, deacon and small group leaders. Bible doctrine is taught as well as basic bible hermeneutics and scripture analysis. Ministry Certification is a two semester Renaissance Leadership Institute Certificate course and is not offered for college credit.
Black Nations In Scripture I/II

Black Nations In Scripture is an overview of the many Black nations of the bible which descended from Ham, the son of Noah. We will establish the reason for studying Black Nations, the criteria for defining Black Nations, and the Black Alliance of nations that dominated Old Testament history from Nimrod to the fall of the Alliance at the hands of Nebuchadnezzar. Black Nations in Scripture is a two semester Renaissance Leadership Institute Certificate course and is not offered for college credit.
Distinctives of the Black Renaissance Movement

This one semester course is designed to provide a complete overview of the vision and organizational principles of the Black Renaissance Movement. What are the goals of the movement, what are the underlying doctrinal principles, how will its objectives be achieved. Topics include The Spiritual City, The Three Nation-building Principles and the Five Distinctives of the Renaissance Movement. This course is designed for the individual who is considering involvement in this movement as well as those desiring a more in-depth understanding. This course is a requisite for ministers desiring to be considered for ordination and is not available for Continuing Education Credits.
